CASH

CASH

Just wanted all the wonderful people at Glendale Humane to know how much of a love connection we have with this fantastic, kooky dog!! Cash (formerly Dazzle) is a complete shoe-in with our gang. When he’s not out on his morning jog or evening hike, he and his sister are wrestling up a storm or just lying around chewing on each other. He even respects our grouchy older guy. Sometimes we catch them sitting side by side on the deck, overseeing the backyard. Though it’s only been a few months, we can’t imagine our lives without him. Thank you to all at GHS for taking such excellent care of our boy and all the other animals in transition.
Very best,
Coley Sohn

MADDIE

MADDIE

Dear Marsha, Alyce, Star and the gang:
Maddie (formerly Isabella) has been with us for 6 months now and we can’t believe we were a family without her! Marsha, you were right that she was the dog for us. She has become much more affectionate and confident, and I think we’re finally seeing her personality– gentle, silly, ethereal, wanting to please but full of her own ideas. She loves her plush squeaky balls and throws them around the house; she also chews madly on every chew toy we have, but fortunately, on nothing else. One of her favorite things to do is sit in the backyard and watch squirrels and birds. She continues to be polite with other dogs and is building her tolerance of strangers when we’re out and about (especially since we ask the willing-looking ones to give her treats). She is an eager hiking companion and we’ve just learned she loves bounding in the ocean and seems to have a knack for herding sheep. We will either start herding or agility lessons this spring for some added fun.
Thank you so much for helping us find Maddie. We are grateful every day that she is sharing her life with us.
Best,
Laura & Neil

SASSY

SASSY

Hello to everyone there at the Shelter. Wishing to contribute to the ’success stories’ section by giving an update as to the well-being of the infamous “Sassy.” I had the honor of adopting her in October ’05. Once taking her to her new home, there was no need to change her name…“Sassy” truly summed up her kitty personality!!! She proceeded to take over the joint after about 15 minutes and quickly filled our home with her “Sassy-ness!” We’re looking forward to many more YEARS with our splendid little Cat. Attached is the photo we call her “headshot.” Our girl is thriving!
Very Best to all,

FRED

FRED

To the wonderful people at Glendale Humane:
Here are some pics of Fred (right), formerly known as Yukon, in his new home. He has fit into our family beautifully and has become our other rescue dog’s best friend. Watching the two buddies play in our back yard is a joy each day. Thanks for helping us find just the right dog for us. We are all definitely in love.

JACK & RIPLEY

JACK & RIPLEY

Hi Alyce and staff,

Thought you might enjoy seeing these photos of our two GHS adoptees. Ripley (aka Vicki - left) was adopted 9 years ago – and Jack (aka Conrad - right) in 2004. They are the best of pals and fill our lives with laughs and licks every day. Thanks you for running such a great shelter!

All the best,
Jeri + John Heiden

MISHA and FRANKIE

MISHA and FRANKIE

Dear GHS,
You may recall that we adopted Misha in January 2005, and Frankie (was named Evil Knievel, but we changed it) in September 2005. We thought we would write to tell you that they are both doing great!

It took Misha about three days to warm up to Frankie, but once she did they became best of friends. And after three days, we figured out why you called him Evil Knievel. Though he’s been renamed, he still speeds frantically through our house on a regular basis. Frankie is a very sweet little cat, with the loudest purr we’ve ever heard. He’s very extroverted, and loves meeting and hanging out with our friends and family. Mike’s brother and six year old niece were in town briefly a few months ago, and Frankie spent at least four hours playing with his niece. He made such an impact on her that when they returned to their home, they adopted two cats from their local animal shelter.

They both have the best personalities and make the best little companions for us - we love them to pieces! Thank you for rescuing them and making it possible for us to bring them into our home.
