TESS

TESS

Tess loved our Freeman Creek campout. Our first day there, she was the official meet and greet hostess of the campground. By the end of the day, everyone knew Tess and she ended up receiving oodles and oodles of tummy rubs and attention.
This was her first real taste of freedom and exploration. She was definitely in her element as the attached picture shows.
I know that I go on and on about her, but we’re both completely enamored with her. She’s a wonderful addition to our family.

LARK

LARK

Hello, all at the Glendale Humane!
I can’t begin to out into words how great Lark is, and how far she has come since I adopted her 2 months ago. She really loves to jog with me- she stays right by my side, and is an expert at playing fetch with a tennis ball- catching balls mid-air and jumping very high.
She just started her group training classes, and so far she’s the star of the class! She’s so intelligent she only needs a little reward to do her best. She is doing really great at staying, sitting, lying down, and is becoming more comfortable every day with other dogs, strangers on the street, and in my apartment. We have a ways to go but she’s improving steadily. She is adjusting very quickly and is just a little lover-girl! More and more she just wants to give kisses and get her tummy rubbed.
So, thank you to all the wonderful staff at Glendale Humane for all the support and help with Lark. She is a joy.

DYLANN

DYLANN

Hi Alice, Star, Ramona, Marsha,
Here is a recent picture of Dylann ~ nee Tinkerbelle.
As I explained to Ramona, I’m an actress and I played Wendy in Peter Pan for many years ~ I know my friends would think I had gone over the edge if I went around saying “Come, Tink”!!! ~ so we did change her name!
Thanks much,
Marsha Keller

CHLOE (aka BAMBI)

CHLOE (aka BAMBI)

Everything is going great! I am totally in love with her and I think she’s the greatest dog ever! Of course, I may be a little biased.
We are going to doggy training with Paul Owens every Tuesday evening and she is learning her commands very well. She and my 2 cats are slowly, very slowly, coming around. Needless to say, she is still gated in the kitchen and breakfast nook, but she lays down in the living room (on leash), chews on her bones and watches TV with me at night. During the day she’s running around and lounging in HER backyard and cooling off in the house. She has introduced me to neighbors I’ve never met and draws folks to the gate daily. She’s a riot!!

GIO

GIO

Hello! Gio is doing wonderfully well; he has gained some weight, his coat has gotten shinier, and he loves his home, especially Mommy and Daddy! Although he looks calm in this picture, don’t let him fool you he really loves to play! His favorite person is Daddy - he loves to wrestle with him and go for long walks. Gio knows all sorts of tricks now, besides sit. He can come, stay, lay down, jump, and go to bed, and he also knows some of his toys by name. He really likes our pet dwarf bunny, but he doesn’t understand why Mommy and Daddy don’t let him play with her! Groups of people still intimidate him, and so do some men, but he has gotten better being around a few extra people at home. He’s a great guard dog, as long as no one approaches him. Then he hides behind Mommy, still barking madly. He’s really a ladies man and LOVES playing with other dogs. We are so grateful for him; we couldn’t have adopted a better dog than Gio. Hes absolutely perfect for our family! Thank you all so much for the love and care you gave him.

SPICY

SPICY

It has been about two years since I adopted Spicy (formerly “Indie”), but I had to let you know how amazing she is. She keeps me in hysterics everyday and has become quite loving. She was not a lap cat when I got her, but now I cannot sit down somewhere without my “black shadow” following me or jumping on my lap!
I am thankful for her funny habits, constant talking and companionship! She has made herself right at home.
Best, Sarah
