She is the sweetest, most adorable dog, and has learned so fast. She has come out of her shell and is just so playful and fun. We are just so in love with her and cannot thank you enough for all of your help!!! Jenna & Chris PETE AKA NESTOR![]() Dear good people at the Glendale Humane Society, Time has flown since I adopted Pete the Dog, a.k.a. Nestor. It feels like we’ve known each other forever, and at the same time, I’m surprised it’s been almost 6 months since his change of address from 717 Ivy Street. We’re having a great time together. I’m blessed to be able to bring Pete to work, so we’re hardly ever apart. (I’ve attached a picture of us at the office.) He’s very popular there, and has lots of friends. He pretty much enforces a 10-hour workday. That’s his limit for sitting still and watching me sit at the computer and talk on the phone. We walk to and from work together, so he’s a staple of the neighborhood. He’s well-loved by neighbors, human and dog alike. On weekends, we like to go on hikes. Because of his black fur, he gets hot pretty quick in the sun. So we’re not setting any records on the trail. But our adventures always leave him tired and content. I love to watch him sleep after we get back. He seems the picture of health and happiness. He also likes going for rides in the Jeep, belly rubs, and cheese. Many thanks to you for rescuing him, and giving us the opportunity to form this successful team of man and dog. Christian SEQUOIA & YOSHI![]() Dear Alyce, We are best friends forever! Thank you for giving each of us such a good start and getting us and our families together. Love, Sequoia and Yoshi WAGGS![]() Hi Star. Just want to share with you the picture of Waggs. It’s been 4 months now since we adopted him and it’s been great. He is a lively, loving, funny and very active dog. He loves attention and he has some small friends now when we take him at Brand Park. He improves a lot when it comes to socializing with other dogs. He found his home now with us. Thanks. Mercy Hanson MEGGS AKA ROXY![]() Hello everyone at the Glendale Humane Society. My name is Caitlin and I adopted the kitten named Meggs, now named Roxy a few weeks ago. She already has claimed her place in the house. She and Aurthur, our other cat, get along really well. She’s getting spoiled a little bit everyday, and it seems like she never stops purring. She’s taken over my bedroom as her room, she has a kitty tent that sits next to my bed that she loves. I just wanted to thank you again, I feel so lucky to have this cat in my life. LUCKY AKA SHELBY![]() Hi GHS, I am writing to give you an up-date on Shelby (the Golden Retriever formerly known as Lucky). She settled in to her new home instantly and now completely rules the roost (in a very good way). My 14.5 year old Golden had died about 8 months before I adopted Shelby from the GHS and it is hard now to imagine how life was before getting Shelby home two weeks ago. As you can see in the attached picture, she has no concept of, or understand the meaning of, stress! ;-). She is happy, healthy and very loved! J.
