POM POM

POM POM

I know that you all are holding your respective breathes awaiting the next segment of the Pom Pom saga:
We now have a lovely “human” dog. He only barks until the intruder is recognized. His habits are spotless. He eats twice a day, bm’s twice a day and is always hungry for a treat or two. He has become very affectionate and can’t wait for a stomach scratch. He does not run away. However, he is curious about his surroundings. After investigating, he returns. In other words he is 99% perfect. His coat is luxurious; his pantaloons have not yet filled out completely. We had to cut knots of fur from behind each ear and these areas have not completely grown back. His italian has improved and there is little I say which he does not understand. I will invite you all for lunch and bring him down to say, “Hello!”. He is a great dog. Thank you!

SUNNY BOY

SUNNY BOY

Dear GHS,
I just wanted to give you a heads up on Sunny Boy. I adopted him in January of this year. For the first two days after I brought him home he hid religiously under the bed and would only come out when I was sleeping… in order to eat and use the litter box! It has now been 3 months since I adopted this handsome boy and apparently he has become a permanent fixture in my lap! He waits for me to make my way to the chair and once he sees me approaching he runs to it and plops right down so that he makes sure to get a good rubbing! I’m serious…he watches me and times it perfectly! Once I squeeze my way in beside him and get comfortable he does his thing and won’t move for hours! He is the sweetest, most loving cat and I am very thankful to have him. I don’t know what he went through in the past…as he has a collar burn around his neck (I have promised that he will never have to wear one again!) but he is truly the brightest star in my life! He regularly enjoys catnip, play toys, and early morning birdwatching from his windowseat on the 3rd floor. Thank you so much for saving him and I’m glad that I could help, too! I’m sorry that I don’t have a recent pic but I felt that you would appreciate the update.
Sincerely,
Pam & Sunny Boy

JOHNNY CISCO

JOHNNY CISCO

Dear Marsha and Alyce,
I haven’t dropped off the planet as a volunteer but I sure have been in a great, wonderful learning curve in parenting with my sweet Cisco. “We’ve” just graduated from the Pasadena Humane Society Adolescent Basic Training Class.
He is an absolute dream come true for me. AND I will return to the land of walking other dogs in time.
Attached is a great picture of “Johnny Cisco”.
Best to you, Susan Carol Davis

BAYLEE

BAYLEE

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to drop a note to catch you up on things! You might remember me as Mocha, one of 4 puppies brought to you with my birth mom back in 2004. Well, my new mom changed my name to Baylee and I have grown to be 65 pounds but my mom says I’m short! She says I’m the best dog ever! I am 1 year 8 months now, and I LOVE my family (especially my mom). She calls me her little caboose because I follow her everywhere and sleep in her bed at night! I love my big brother Mr. Lucky too. My mom takes us for our 2 mile jog everyday so we (or her) don’t get fat! My mom says that I am really smart cuz I listen to her and have very good manners. Just wanted to let you know that you guys couldn’t have picked me a better family. I don’t think I could have been this happy anywhere else!! Thank-you!
Love, Baylee

KILEY

KILEY

Hello everyone at Glendale Humane Society! Here are a couple pictures of Kiley. We adopted him from you on February 19th. He’s such a love! The more love we give him, the more he grows! He gets along great with our Norwegian Elkhound, Sarah. They are best friends. Sarah is very much my husband’s girl - Kiley is my buddy. What a great fuzzy companion I have in Kiley. He loves to cuddle and play. He makes me smile daily. He’s a true companion & friend. Thank you for rescuing Kiley. He’s worth all the time and effort you gave him. He’s a joy!

In Christ, Wendy G. Bronson

PRINCE

PRINCE

Dear Marsha and everyone who took care of Prince, Hope this finds you with the pictures. Prince is doing great, and has put on a little needed weight too. He listens well and is very well behaved with his very little, but older, sister Gracie. He loves to be with me whereever I go in the house, he is very sweet and gentle and loves to be touched, loves walks and running, patient with brushings and grooming, loves his two beds, and the couch even though that’s a “no, no”.

He stays away from the bathrooms and is very afraid of the vacuum (even when not running) and the dust buster; if used in another room he will go hide! I put him outside now when cleaning. He doesn’t care for toys or chewing anything, bully sticks etc., maybe in time. I will send more pictures, he just was groomed yesterday and looks more beautiful than ever!
Thanks for all your help to find our Prince.
Lynn and Jeff
