LULU

LULU

Hi, my name is Lulu. I moved in with my new mom (Kathryn) and new buddy (Bob) about 2 weeks ago. I heard that their other buddy, Mike, died and they were lonely… Anyway, I’m 5 years old and used to live with another family but they decided they didn’t want me anymore and dumped me at a shelter, but the nice people at the Glendale Humane Society saved me. That’s where my new mom adopted me.
I get to live in a nice house now - I have 3 beds but prefer the couch and I go for long walks in the hills and I get lots of hugs and treats!!! We also have a bunch of cats - they’re really fun - they run whenever I chase them or bark at them! Mom says we’re working on that….. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and tell you a little about me. My new mom thinks I’m a very pretty girl - a little odd looking but hey, it’s good to be different, right?

MISHA

MISHA

Dear Friends at Glendale Humane Society -
Just a quick note to share some photos taken of Misha in her new home. The day that I brought her home, I opened her kitty carrier in the living room. After she sniffed around her new surroundings for about 5 seconds, she darted behind our entertainment center, where she hid out for hours. Not even an open can of tuna could lure her out. Finally I discovered that she had worked her way into one of the entertainment center’s drawers, and had been sleeping in it. She’s come out of her shell quite a bit now, and boy, does she ever talk up a storm. I don’t even need an alarm clock anymore, as she knows exactly what time I’m supposed to get up in the mornings, and always makes sure I won’t be late! Though we’ve kept her name ’Misha,’ we’ve nicknamed her Bruiser and Nutball, and for good reason. She really is one of the best pets I’ve ever had, and it breaks my heart to think of her sad little kitten beginnings– I can only imagine what would have become of her had she not found her way into your facility.

MAX

MAX

Max (aka Barnaby) is doing great! He loves to go on hikes with the family and loves to be with people. When we walk him past the school yard he has a prance he does and all the kids come to the fence to ooh and ahh over him. Now that school is not in session he just looks around trying to figure out why the kids aren’t there. We had my daughters scout troop over and he just wanted to be in the middle of all the kids. He still licks everyone who will let him.
He has adjusted pretty well to the cats. One of the cats he plays with, the other one still growls at him every time he enters the room, even if he is ignoring her. He loves to ride in the car and would go everywhere with us if he could. He has been to visit both grandparents. He likes to go with me to pick up the girls from school. All their classmates know Max. People who meet him usually comment on what a happy dog he is.
I hope you enjoy these pictures of Max and know that he is safe, happy, and well loved. I believe you made a good match. Thank you again for entrusting this beautiful dog to our care.

KALI

KALI

I just wanted to let all the great people at Glendale Humane Society know that we are very grateful you rescued Kali (Uma) and allowed us to adopt her. She was meant for our home. In the three months she’s been with us she’s explored Big Bear, Runyon Canyon, Griffith park trails, Santa Barbara, Malibu and all over our Glendale neighborhood. She’s very popular and great with the neighborhood kids and has become a patient and gentle best friend for our 3-year-old boy Sage. Thanks also to whomever maintains your website. It’s because him, her or them that I stumbled upon Kali’s picture one night and then had her sleeping at my feet a few days later. I still visit the website every now and then to see the new cats and dogs and watch as they find new loving homes.

Thanks again, KB, Erik and Sage VanHorn

JAKE

JAKE

Dear Alyce, Tad and I adopted Jake (aka Baron) in March. I just wanted to send along this photo of him. He is quite handsome and strong and is SO healthy.
He is the greatest dog and I am so happy he is part of our family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a “no kill” facility and saving Jake - this most wonderful dog - from death.
Sincerely, Holly and Tad
