POGO

POGO

Hi Glendale Humane Society,
Take a look at Pogo, (aka Briar). We love having Pogo in our lives and we think he loves his new life.

ROXY

ROXY

Roxy is wonderful. She has grown greatly and we are currently searching for a new apartment with a backyard to accommodate her better. She is just shy of 60 lbs. and frequent walks have kept her in beautiful shape. We do our laundry at my mom’s on Sundays so she gets to socialize with two very aquatic border collies every week. She is a very audible dog with many quirky whines and robust barks. On the whole, she is a great cuddle bug and is very intent on using her fore paws for attention as well as sitting like a person on the couch with her back against the cushions her butt on the seat. She is an avid cat hunter but once she gets them cornered she gives up as she remembers the first time she met the family tabby, and the scratch she received. She is a great runner, and was a terrible puller until we got one of those stretchable leashes. She went through toys like a jaws of life and is now addicted to her Galileo bone. She is finicky about some people and loves others. We love her so much and can’t imagine our life without her. Thank you so much for helping us fill our household with her sweetness.

TIA

TIA

In February (2003), I lost my dog and dearest friends of nearly 11 years to cancer. Still suffering from a badly broken heart I stumbled into the Glendale Humane Society last December (2003), met Alice, told her my story, and was promptly introduced to little Tia.

Tia was around 1+ year old, skinny, scared, always had her tail between her legs, had just been spayed, and obviously a very special dog. After 2 to 3 months with us Tia blossomed into a different dog. She gained weight, went from 24 lbs to 32 lbs, and confidence. She’s now a sweet fluffy, bouncy, playful pet with a tail that hardly ever stops wagging. As we come up to our one year anniversary she is now a well integrated member of the family. Tia helped me mend my broken heart; she couldn’t be more loved if we had known her all her life.

Thank you,
Karen G. Caldwell

ZEUS

ZEUS

He is doing so well, I’m going to take some pictures because he sleeps on my bed, and when I let him in the back door I have to race with him over to the couch because if he gets there first there is no room for me. He is doing very very well, when he gets happy he does a happy dance. He hangs out in the house, he is quite happy, and he plays with my 12 yr. old dog and she likes that because she has a boy to play with. He is very very happy, he has come a long way. I’m trying to get a feel of what he is afraid of so they are working on that, he is a happy boy. Please feel free to call if needed, and if you want to come visit him anytime feel free. Thank you for everything.
