They are very happy with the kitty, now nicknamed Pig-Pig. (named after his unruly hair on the top of his head like a guinea pig) He follows them everywhere they go, wanting to be right there with them. He sleeps at the top of the bed on a special blanket. DUDLEY![]() Dudley has been a wonderful addition to our seemingly empty household. Six months ago, we were forced to put our dog to sleep and we grieved over the loss. Volunteering at the Humane Society, I had the chance to watch and wait for a possible new dog. Seeing Dudley in March, I instantly fell for his large puppy face and beautiful, sad eyes. After socializing and walking him a couple times, I introduced him to my family. My parents LOVED him and his docile temperament; especially my mom who has always wanted a Rottie. On his arrival home, he was very calm and (to our happiness) housebroken. He adjusted easily and has become quite loyal to the family. He follows all of us around and always makes sure that we are safe before choosing a spot to lie down (usually in between all of us-within eyesight!). I still can’t get over seeing that stump of a tail wag whenever we play with him!!! Thank you so much for this opportunity and keep striving to save the animals, we are forever grateful…so is Dudley.
UPDATE - 8/2004:
Everyone loves him…even the pool man! His charming good looks have taken the neighborhood by storm on our daily walks. Everyone wonders what he his: I tell them he’s my brother. Thank you so much Glendale Humane Society for our little bear!
CONRAD![]() Dear Alyce and the GHS Shelter Staff:
Hello. Just wanted to share with you Conrad’s latest photo. He’s been with us for a month now and has adjusted very well. We took him with us this week when we went to San Diego for my husband’s meetings. He behaved well at the hotel room, barking only when he heard noises. By the way, you may want to recommend La Quinta Inn at Rancho Penasquitas in San Diego. They accept dogs up to 60 lbs. Thanks a lot for everything.

TULIP![]() Tulip, renamed Summer Tulip, (to be called Summer), has been a wonderful dog. She continues to be very calm, docile and well mannered. She and Cirrus engage in playful activity upon Cirrus’ urging. Usually they enjoy a round of chase. She has continued to grow more and more comfortable. Her sense of comfort, trust, and relaxation are seen as she follows us from room to room, wagging her tail, and upon her stretching out, exposing her stomach to be rubbed. I believe she thinks she is in heaven, with regular feedings and lots of love. We will continue to provide you with updates. Thank you for our loving and special new girl, RICKY![]() I wanted to let you know that he is doing really well! The puppy class and related reading has really made a difference.
