My husband and I have talked about adopting a puppy off and on for the last 10 years. After the loss of our beloved 11 yr. old cat Billy in February, we finally felt it was time to look into getting another pet. I was in Montrose and that was when I came across a beautiful grey little puppy who had amazingly big ears. He was 7 weeks old and I just fell in love with him at that moment. I came home and excitedly told my husband about him. My husband went to GHS that next week then we went down together the following week and decided to go through the adoption process. Well to our delight we got him!! We just love our new addition to the family.

Thank You Alyce and GHS….

TIMOTHY

TIMOTHY

Hi, thought you would like to see a pic of me in my patio taking the sun. As you can see I have grown some and I am on a diet now (one meal per day) as my appetite is too good.

Love and a big wet kiss,
Timothy

JEFFREY

JEFFREY

Just wanted to send you recent photos of Jeffrey. He’s adjusting very well in his new home and growing everyday. The first week was a bit tough for all of us, but now that we have a schedule, every day gets better and a bit easier. Jeffrey sleeps in his own crate that we’ve placed in our den/computer room (and he doesn’t fuss when it’s bed time and sleeps through the night!). He loves to just hang out with us in our living room while we watch TV, or play with his toys in the den while we check e-mail or work on the computer. He’s had a couple of play dates with other dogs, and loves the attention he gets from passers-by when we take him on walks. He even behaves nicely in stores (so far)!

We’ve also started taking obedience/training lessons…in fact, our second lesson is on Sunday. Our trainer said that we picked a great first dog, and that Jeffrey is energetic, bouncy, sweet and that he’ll be a “piece of cake” to train. Jeffrey is cutting adult teeth, so he’s been a little chewing machine…thank goodness for chew toys and nylabones! He’s progressing with his house-breaking…he’s great at letting us know when he needs to go outside to potty.
Thanks so much for taking such great care of Jeffrey while he was under your wings. We would love to hear any updates on his mom and other litter mates. We’ll keep you posted on Jeffrey!

Take care,
Liza & Ritche Sacilioc

SHELBY

SHELBY

Hi there,
I just wanted to send you a few recent pictures of Shelby (aka Delilah). She’s doing great and keeping me quite active and entertained. Hope you enjoy the pictures and take care.
Sandy

UPDATE; 3-15-04:
Well, today Shelby competed in the Most Beautiful Small Dog category (dogs under 40 pounds) at the 2004 Nuts For Mutts Dog Show at Los Angeles Pierce College and she took first in her class among 25 other dogs. This win was so exciting for both Shelby and I and although I know that she’s pretty darn cute, I guess the judges seemed to think the same. I’ll bring her by sometime to visit.

LOUIE

LOUIE

GOLDILOCKS

GOLDILOCKS

Thank you so much for all your advice on Goldilocks (formerly Gilda). Things are working out very well. She is now very healthy and is becoming more confident of herself and all of us. She is so happy and we are totally in love with her. Here are a few pictures of her in her new home and with her family.

Best,
Sherry Plotkin
